CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The Arts, extra and co-curricular activities are valued highly at Acharyashri Sudarshan Krishna Niketan and continue to go from strength to strength as demonstrated in many memorable concerts, competitions and performances that take place on an annual basis. From tentative beginners to accomplished performers, the school keenly sharpens the creative talents of the students.

In primary section activities such as flower making, mask making, cut and paste, best out of waste, clay work, rakhi making, card making, jute work, glass painting, pot making, fabric painting, bamboo work etc. are organized. The grand Parents Day is celebrated with great pomp and show. The festival Janmashtami brings joy to the little children who look bright and colourful in the costumes of Radha & Krishna. Navratri springs forth all excitement for the children as they perform Dandiya Raas with their co-mates. ‘Fun in Sun’ is the most awaited time for them to sing, dance, play, act and enjoy in the summer camp. Every year it is organized during summer vacation.

To promote the competitive spirit among students, various competitions such as poetry recitation, dance, debates, paintings, drama, etc. are held on an inter-house basis in middle, secondary, and senior secondary wings. Discovering and nurturing talent for each student are central to our educational aims. Students may choose and pursue activities of their own interests. To hone literary flair among our students, the school publishes the magazine ‘The Sudarshan Times’ annually.

ASKN believes in the dictum ‘A Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body’. All earnest efforts are made to keep the children physically fit and mentally sharp. Our students are encouraged to take part in sports activities for enjoyment, relaxation, and exercise. Quality training is also provided in Athletics, Track and Field Events, Throw Ball, Handball, Basketball, and Tennis. The Annual Sports Meet, Inter-School Chess Tournament, and Table-Tennis Championship are held every year. Our students’ worth is reflected in the fact that they have performed at district, regional, national, and even international levels.

3-Dimensional Interactive Smart Classes

The old traditional classrooms have been transformed into interactive digital classrooms to ensure innovative learning process. Technology is integrated into our teaching process and our students retain most of what they see, some of what they hear and every details of what they experience. 3-Dimensional interactive Smart Classes ensure active participation of learners and mentors.

The state-of-the-art interactive methodology promotes audio-visual-based learning. These classrooms are equipped with mind maps, smart learning modules, animations, and diagrams.

A Step Towards Academic Development

Children are priceless not only to the family but also to the society and the nation they live in. Therefore, the initial stage of a child’s life plays a vital role in shaping the kind of people they are going to be. To develop their minds properly and keep them fully engaged in academic activities, we have developed well-equipped digital libraries and labs with the firm expectation and belief to transform an ordinary child into a specialist in her subjects of interest.

Physics

The school has a well equipped Physics laboratory. In the lab, efforts are made to provide indi- vidual learning and experimen- tation time to the students to develop a high order of practical skills, analytical abilities and the opportunities to learn by doing.

Chemistry

We have a well planned, fully equipped and spacious labs, acid proof work-stations filled with L.P.G., borosil glassware and Electronic balances. All necessary facilities are available for ensuring effective safety in the laboratory.

Biology

A well-equipped and spacious bioscience laboratory has been established, having all ultra- modern facilities.
Superior quality microscopes, chemical balance are available for effective experimentation.

Computer Lab

Today is the age of information technology and everywhere around us, computers are being used for the processing of information. To make our students aware of this technology, we have a well equipped Computer Labs for Primary, Middle & Secondary students. with latest multimedia computers, having facilities to work on modern software with access to the cyber world through the internet facilities in all the sections separately.

Robotics Lab

Robotics is a branch of engineering and computer science that involves the conception, design, manufacture and operation of robots. The objective of the robotics field is to create intelligent machines that can assist humans in a variety of ways. Robotics can take on a number of forms.

Library

To contribute to learning outcome we have developed a very effective library. Our library is strongly integrated into the learning fabrics providing the learners the latest information and knowledge by means of creating congenial academic environment and compiling of all sorts of books by the renowned authors.

Language Lab

With the view to hone the language skills of the students and improve their proficiency in various languages, they are given regular practice in the language lab in various skills, i.e., listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The school has magnificent stage which gives ample space for the students to explore their talents. Our school bears diversified culture and traditions. The stage gives them a platform of integrity to show their best. The students perform vibrant dance, drama and project cultural activities on social issues and historical events mesmerizing the audience.

Acharyashri Sudarshan Krishna Niketan has a fully equipped air-conditioned auditorium that is one of the best in the region with a seating capacity of over a thousand students. The multi-utility auditorium has the most modern audio-visual equipment for quality presentation. It is the forum where learners develop their oratory skills and the skills related to art and cultural-activities. Eminent educationists of all the subjects are frequently invited to make their presentations for the awareness of the learners.
